PTI Sound Insulation Program
TIMELINE
The Airport Authority launched the Sound Insulation Program by sending a letter to affected homeowners in the summer of 2012.
Noise experts then placed monitors at several homes in the area to ensure that noise reduction would be achieved. Homeowners in the project area were invited to apply to participate in a pilot project. Once the pilot project was complete, the program subsequently completed several additional phases in the same manner.
To date, the Authority has finished sound insulation work on 123 houses. The remaining houses that are eligible for the program are included in a final phase (Phase 8), which is underway.
